Taste of East Aurora to Showcase Village’s Culinary Creations | Events
The third annual Taste of East Aurora, featuring numerous restaurants with ties to the Greater East Aurora community, returns from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, on Main Street, from Olean Road to Riley Street.
“Last year’s event attracted approximately 10,000 visitors, and we expect a large crowd again this year,” said Gary Grote, executive director of the Greater East Aurora Chamber of Commerce. “Our goal is to focus on the food and restaurants that help make East Aurora a popular destination.”
Restaurants and food-related businesses taking part in the event include American Grille, Brother’s Restaurant & Pub, East Aurora Cooperative Market, East Aurora Country Club, Elm Street Bakery, Everything Pie, Iron Kettle, Leo’s Pizzeria, Medici House/Theas, Old Orchard Inn, Orchard Fresh, Pizza Del Aureo’s, Pizza Hut, Prima Oliva, Purrfect Tea, Red’s Hot Dogs, Rick’s on Main, Riley Street Station, The Roycroft Inn, Taste Bistro, Tony Rome’s Globe Hotel, Tops Friendly Markets and Village Sweet Shoppe. Additional restaurants may still be added. Food and beverage items will be priced from $1 to $4 per serving.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the Old Hippies from noon to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Major event sponsors include the East Aurora Bee, Tops Friendly Markets, First Niagara and Martyn Printing and Graphics. Supporting sponsors include Cutco Cutlery, Fidelis Care, Duck Duck Goose, Sysco, University Pediatrics at Toytown and West Herr.
The village also welcomes the Bosom Buddies Walk to East Aurora on Sept. 13. The walk, which begins at the Healthy Zone Rink, 41 Riley St., at 10 a.m., is a celebration of patients and families in the community who have been affected by breast cancer.
